I love Lousy Llama kits!! The succulent is one of four kits I've gotten and they've all turned out so cute!! Super easy to follow along with the videos for visual learners and I enjoy the occasional visits from the cats! Such a great product.
Succulent Crochet Kit
Amazing! It came directly as ordered and it's super cute!
I thought the kit was very cute! I managed to make plant! I am glad I had taken a super basic crochet class before though. The video was nice but didn’t really address how to count stitches and other basics I wouldn’t expect a beginner to know.
I did think the yarn split very easily. It really wasn’t possible to work the same yarn twice if you made a mistake and had to unravel it.
That said, it was a fun little kit and it’s nice to have a beginner project that isn’t a scarf or a wash cloth.
My friend and I each bought one and we worked on it for over an hour without any substance to show for. My friend couldn’t even make her first stitch to hold it together. The directions were too fast and I couldn’t tell what was what when I even started making my pot in terms of stitches and which yarn piece was which. Some clarification on things would’ve been helpful and more of a breakdown on what’s considered a stitch, where to put the extra yarn, and when in the circle what does it look like so you could thread your tool through to continue. By no means am I saying this was terrible it just wasn’t right for me and I needed better and much simpler directions! (I had ZERO knowledge of crocheting before this). This would be better for people who understand the basics of crochet! The packaging and everything is super cute! And maybe one day I’ll be able to do it!
